Atium has raised a pre-seed round led by Stena New Ventures together with existing owners Chalmers Ventures, Gladium and Jan Burenius. The investment adds fuel to Atium’s product development and customer piloting efforts for 2022 and forwards.

Atium is developing a new technology for effective and cost-efficient removal of mercury from water and chemicals. The patent-pending technology is based on a reversible electrochemical process with the potential to help improve the performance and efficiency of mercury removal for customers within industries such as mining, chemical production, waste-to-energy, recycling and dental.
