Atium has received funding from Vinnova, through the Swedish Mining Innovation programme, to further develop and test our mercury removal solution for the treatment of concentrated sulphuric acid. This is a critical issue for non-ferrous smelters, which produce large quantities of sulphuric acid as a by-product but face challenges with mercury contamination. The funding will help us address this pressing problem and advance our technology, as well as enable early stage pilots with customers.
